Paulo Dybala feels Juventus “sent a signal, we have the necessary experience” to turn around difficult situations after his brace beat Lokomotiv Moscow 2-1. The Russians had taken a shock lead after 30 minutes, but La Joya scored at the 77th and 79th to transform the Champions League match in Turin. “I really needed these two goals. It was a good result for me and for the team, as we suffered, but have the necessary experience to keep calm and find a way through,” Dybala told Sky Sport Italia. Does this show that Juve can play with Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo together? “We can work on it, the Coach has his ideas and we’ll work on them in training to improve together.” The Bianconeri are still unbeaten in all competition this season, dropping points only to Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid. “We sent the usual signal, which is that this is not a Juventus side without experience or talent. We can have our say.” Watch Serie A live in the UK on Premier Sports for just £11.99 per month including live LaLiga, Eredivisie, Scottish Cup Football and more. Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk: I don’t need to restby Paul Vegas6 days agoSend to a friendShare the loveLiverpool defender Virgil van Dijk insists he doesn’t need to rest.He has started in 60 of the 61 Premier League games he has played in for Liverpool and it reflects in Van Dijk’s determined attitude.”I want to be involved in every game,” he said. “They’re the most fun part of being a football player anyway, to go out there and show your talents to the world, try to win a game with a team you train with day in, day out.”It’s not easy, you need to look after yourself and with the life we live, it’s very important to leave a lot of things. For example, we play four games in the next 11 days, you’re travelling and staying in hotels and you need to watch what you eat, drink and make sure you recover well.”I’m not complaining, not at all, but you need to look after yourself because at the end of the day, the people are coming to the stadium to watch you play and it doesn’t matter if you had a cold the day before, they want you to turn up on matchday.”That’s why it’s very important to look after yourself and a big part of that is staying fit. Luckily, so far, I’ve been doing that pretty well and hopefully I can keep doing it.” About the authorPaul VegasShare the loveHave your say

TOKYO – Honda Motor Co.’s fiscal second quarter profit slipped compared to a year ago as costs related to a massive air-bag recall erased the perks of strong sales, the Japanese automaker said Wednesday.Honda reported its July-September profit totalled 174 billion yen ($1.5 billion), down 1.7 per cent from 177 billion yen a year earlier.Quarterly sales jumped nearly 16 per cent on-year to 3.78 trillion yen ($33 billion), according to the Tokyo-based maker of the Accord compact, Odyssey minivan and Asimo robot. In September, Honda and some people suing the automaker over faulty Takata Corp. air-bag inflators agreed to a $605 million settlement in the U.S.Honda was among Takata’s biggest customers. The defective inflators are linked to 19 deaths and dozens of injuries. Some 100 million air-bag inflators were recalled worldwide.Honda raised its full year forecast through March 2018, to 585 billion yen ($5.1 billion) from 545 billion yen ($4.8 billion) projected earlier, but that’s still 5 per cent lower than what it earned the previous fiscal year. For the latest quarter, a favourable currency rate helped Honda’s bottom line. A weak yen is a plus for giant Japanese exporters like Honda, whose overseas earnings rise in value when converted into yen.The biggest sales growth for Honda is recently being marked in China, where demand is strong for the Civic compact, as well as the UR-V and Avancier sport-utility vehicles.Honda is also banking on electric car sales growth in China, where the government is pushing EVs as a major policy, the company said.Honda’s sales did well in Japan as well, where its N-Box series, a tiny car that looks like a box, was a hit.Its motorcycle sales rose 15 per cent during the quarter compared to the previous year on healthy demand in India, Indonesia and Vietnam, the company said.Honda recently marked a milestone with its Super Cub motorcycle, reaching 100 million units of global production. Super Cub production began in 1958, and the small scooter-like motorcycle is now produced in 15 countries and sold in more than 160 countries.Although the U.S. auto market lagged in recent months, Honda marked solid sales of its new Accord sedan, Civic Hatchback and Acura RDX luxury crossover, doing better than the overall market trend, it said.___Yuri Kageyama can be reached at https://twitter.com/yurikageyamaHer work can be found at https://www.apnews.com/search/yuri%20kageyama

Kolkata: Has it become a bit frustrating for you to park your vehicles in New Town because you fail to find a slot in the parkingplace? Don’t worry, the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) is going to put in place one of the most advanced mechanisms in New Town by ensuring that not a single slot for parking is left empty. The New Town Kolkata Development Authority is coming up with a smart parking app which will help people identify the empty slots for cars and maximum use of the parking place. The whole operation would be done through a sensor system. The new system will be felicitated by an agency which will be engaged by the NKDA. Debashis Sen chairman of the NKDA on Wednesday said that they are planning to introduce a smart parking app only to ensure that none of the slots in a parking area remains empty. Often it was found that people face inconveniences as the empty slot could not be navigated properly. The slots at the farthest corner remain empty due to the manual parking system. He was talking at a symposium “Infrastructure Development and Management in Future Cities” organised by RCG School of Infrastructure Design and Management (RCGSIDM), IIT Kharagpur at a city hotel. The sensor aided system will help the driver to reach to the slot demarcated for him/her. As the people at the parking places go by the toll data at the gate they cannot determine where exactly the empty slot is situated. The new system will help people to reserve the empty slot and easily access it. A demo has already been given by a startup company, Sen maintained. He also said that they are bringing in new innovations to reduce the road accidents in New Town. There will be a new mechanism operated with the help of the CCTVs to identify and intercept the errant drivers. A real time alert will be delivered to the traffic sergeant in the area the accused driver is heading to. If any irrational behavior is detected on the part of the drivers, an alert would be triggered and the details of the vehicle would be shared with the on duty traffic police officers. Sen also reiterated how E-governance has been given a paramount importance and services are being provide to the people online. The NKDA is also introducing online sanction of building plans which is the first in the country. Online filing of taxes would be conducted. Many graduate youths are being trained on how to help elderly persons to submit their taxes online. The youths will be provided incentives.
02Apr Rep. Runestad demands answers for car insurance rate increases White Lake lawmaker wants more transparency from state organizationState Rep. Jim Runestad, a member of the House Insurance Committee, today called for the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association to share more information to justify a $22 per vehicle increase to Michigan resident’s automobile insurance for the year starting on July 1, 2018.The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) reimburses no-fault auto insurers for medical costs in excess of $555,000 per claim. The MCCA is a private non-profit entity created as a means of spreading the cost of providing unlimited medical coverage across all Michigan auto insurers.“I’m going to need a lot more information from MCCA,” Runestad said. “Michigan’s citizens already pay the highest automobile insurance rates in this country and now we’re going to pay more? Not without a more open dialogue and an explanation into why each driver will have $192 per car dedicated solely to the Personal Injury Protection claims, when three years ago everything was fine at $150 per year.”According to the MCCA, the organization “analyzes the amount needed to cover the lifetime claims of all people catastrophically injured in a car accident for the coming year. This analysis includes review of the investment return the fund receives, medical cost inflation, any existing deficit or surplus, and any changes to coverages.”The Lansing-based organization has a board of directors which includes representatives from five insurance companies appointed by the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services.“The catastrophic claims fund has approximately $21 billion and continues to grow year-over-year,” said Runestad, of White Lake. “There is no transparency. We have no idea what kind of actuarial computations they are making. Cars are getting safer every year and miles being driven is dropping every year. We need them to know, with absolute clarity and transparency, why this increase would be needed.”##### Categories: News,Runestad News
