Ketua KNKT: Depnaker Perlu Turun Tangan Tinjau Jam Kerja Pengemudi Shuttle

first_imgPadatnya jaringan kereta Jakarta – Bandung kerap kali membuat sebagian orang terpaksa menggunakan moda transportasi lain, sebut saja layanan shuttle atau yang kerap disebut travel. Ketika jalan tol Cipularang ini rampung pada April 2005 silam, layanan shuttle pun menjamur.Banyak warga yang antusias menggunakan layanan shuttle karena waktu tempuh diantara dua kota ini yang menjadi relatif lebih cepat. Namun sejak kehadiran proyek-proyek tersebut, layanan shuttle ini pun tetap digandrungi oleh banyak penumpang yang kehabisan tiket kereta api, seperti sebuah pelarian.Nah, ketika kemacetan semakin memerah, maka cepat atau lambat kondisi ini akan mempengaruhi daya tahan si pengemudi shuttle itu sendiri. Ketika KabarPenumpang.com yang kebetulan tengah melakukan perjalanan dari Jakarta – Bandung dengan menggunakan Shuttle Baraya, di tengah perjalanan si pengemudi tampak mengantuk karena mobilyang ia kemudikan sempat oleng dan berjalan dengan kecepatan yang tidak konsisten.Ketika ditanya, pengemudi ini mengaku kelelahan karena jatah kerja yang berlebihan. “Saya PP (Bandung – Bintaro) empat kali sehari,” ungkap pengemudi yang enggan menyebutkan namanya tersebut. Tentu saja pernyataan dari si pengemudi ini telah menyalahi apa yang telah direkomendasikan oleh Komite Nasional Keselamatan Transportasi (KNKT). Ketua KNKT, Soerjanto Tjahjono mengatakan bahwa selain kelaikan kendaraan, kondisi pengemudi pun menjadi salah satu aspek penunjang keselamatan dalam berkendara.Baca Juga: KNKT Bocorkan Rahasia Pilih Bus Wisata Yang Berkeselamatan“Kalau rekomendasi yang kita berikan terkait dengan pengemudi itu berlaku untuk semuanya, mulai dari bus, shuttle, bahkan hingga kendaraan pribadi,” tutur Soerjanto kepada KabarPenumpang.com, Kamis (22/3/2018). “Travel (shuttle) pun sebenarnya itu bermasalah, Semarang – Yogyakarta, Jakarta – Bandung, itu semua mereka kejar setoran. Diharapkan Depnaker (Departemen Ketenagakerjaan) dapat meninjau lebih dalam lagi tentang jam kerja para pengemudi travel tersebut,” tambahnya.Ya, tidak bisa dipungkiri faktor stamina sangat berpengaruh terhadap keselamatan ketika berkendara. Tidak jarang kita mendengar kasus kecelakaan lalu lintas yang disebabkan oleh pengemudi mengantuk atau mengalami fenomena micro-sleep (tertidur dalam jangka waktu hitungan detik). Raminai conveys his condolences

first_imgRugby League Papua New Guinea has lost an asset to sport, agriculture and business following the passing of John Nightingale this week. That was how Vice-Minister for Sport and Member for Kagua-Erave Wesley Raminai described the late John Nightingale when sending his condolences to the family and friends of the man who was affectionately known as ‘Papa Guria’. Raminai, when extending his condolence on behalf of the Government to the Nightingale family at this time of sadness, said Nightingale’s contribution to the Agmark Gurias rugby league franchise in PNG’s premier competition, Digicel Cup, was an example of excellence in sports. “Agmark Guria is a renowned sporting entity that has set some high benchmarks and the late John Nightingale is one of the main reasons behind this. “There are many young men who owe their sporting careers to him. Agmark Gurias approach to sport in terms of professionalism is on another level and aside from the top quality football they produce, the welfare of players and officials is also appropriately covered, providing employment aside from just match payments. “It is because of the vision and commitment of men like John Nightingale that Agmark Gurias has won premierships, is a regular finals contest in the Digicel Cup finals and is always a very tough side to beat during the regular season, year in year out, a consistent football franchise when it comes to top quality. “His (Nightingale) contribution to rugby league was not only confined to Gurias but the PNG Rugby Football League would have appreciated his contribution to helping out with programs like the Hunters and others.” Raminai said that he found Nightingale to be someone who has really blended in very well into the PNG culture and will be dearly missed not just by his family and friends but many others whose lives he touched.
