It’s not strange doing it, though. My kids if they see a commercial with me in it and I’m back home in Norway – that will be strange.”Everyone knows I’d like to stay of course, but that’s not decided until the end of the season. But if it’s me as a supporter or manager they should still buy their season tickets because the club is going somewhere.”United are currently fifth in the table with 55 points from 28 matches but Solskjaer said they were planning for Champions League soccer next season.”My contract is up in the summer but as I’ve always done for United I give my best because you have to plan, even if I’m not here I still give my view on who I would like to see here as a supporter,” Solskjaer added.advertisement”You don’t want to plan for Europa League yet. We’re hoping and planning that we will get into the Champions League for next year. We’ll take that as it comes.”Also Read | Manchester United face mutiny if Solskjaer isn’t named permanent boss, says Gary NevilleAlso Read | Manchester United cannot go years without league title, says Ole Gunnar SolskjaerAlso Read | Fred must seize his chance to shine, says Ole Gunnar SolskjaerFor sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports. An IPL press release stated Dhoni had admitted to admitted to the Level 2 offence of the tournament’s Code of Conduct.”MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings captain, was fined 50 per cent of his match fees for breaching the VIVO Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur.””Mr Dhoni admitted to the Level 2 offence 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” the release said.Dhoni, in an uncharacteristic act, stormed onto the field at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and had an intense argument with on-field umpire Ulhas Gandhe after the latter retracted a no-ball call during a tense Chennai Super Kings chase.Dhoni, who made a 43-ball 58, was dismissed off the previous ball by Ben Stokes. CSK had needed nine runs from the last three balls when Gandhe signalled a no-ball against Stokes before retracting his decision after leg-umpire Bruce Oxenford ruled out a waist-high no-ball.Miffed with Gandhe’s calls, Dhoni made his way into the middle and reasoned with the two on-field umpires after Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner were seen arguing with the umpire. Ben Stokes tried to calm things down but Dhoni was in no mood to listen to anyone. The CSK captain had to walk back disappointed as Gandhe stuck to his reverted decision.advertisementStressing Dhoni has escaped a sterner punishment, Manjrekar took to social media and wrote: “Have always been a big Dhoni admirer, but he was clearly out of line walking out like that. Lucky to get away with just a small fine.”Have always been a big Dhoni admirer, but he was clearly out of line walking out like that. Lucky to get away with just a small fine. #VIVOIPLSanjay Manjrekar (@sanjaymanjrekar) April 12, 2019Manjrekar, who is a popular on-air commentator now, also pointed out that players are bossing the game a bit too much these days.”Have felt this for a while now, players just bossing the game too much these days, often to the detriment of it. Over rates, No day night Tests, just a couple of examples.”For a player who has been charged under a Level 2 offense (first offense), the range of permissible sanctions is: “The imposition of a fine of between 50-100% of applicable Match Fee and/or a suspension of up to two (2) Matches.”Chennai Super Kings though managed to gun down a 151-run target and extend their lead at the top of the IPL 2019 points table.Shedding light on Dhoni’s outburst at the umpires, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming said the celebrated India player wanted clarity about the no-ball call and thus entered the pitch.”MS was after some clarity and it didn’t seem to be coming. So, he took the opportunity to go out in there and discuss it with the umpires. That’s how I saw it and that’s how I discussed it with him afterward.”Meanwhile, Fleming also said that MS Dhoni will be questioned about Thursday’s outburst at the umpire for a “long, long time” but refused to be drawn into answering whether what the CSK captain did was right or wrong.”He only just wanted clarity. The rights and wrongs will be discussed by everybody, including Mahi (Dhoni), I’m sure. But, I think, it’ll be a discussion for the umpires afterward and I am a watcher as you guys are, for now.”Also Read | Unlike Captain Cool: MS Dhoni slammed for confronting umpire after no-ball controversyAlso See:For sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports.
